Melanie Santos was born in 1995 in Basel, Switzerland. She was first a swimmer, but at some point, she preferred to embrace new challenges by dedicating herself to Triathlon. She was Vice-Champion of Junior World Championships in 2017 and her 2018 season was excellent. In 2019, she suffered an injury which brought her further difficulties in the qualifying events for the Olympic Games. However, she is now well prepared and ready for the Olympics.
